I Heart Timothy Geitner

I have broached this topic with only a few people to date. So why not cast this message to the entire webosphere? Here 'tis: I think Timothy Geitner is a dish. Yeah, that's right, I think he's hot.

Surely, I cannot be the only one who feels this way? While I do wonder if anyone reads this blog, I'd be interested to note if any of you think this too. I guess I really have two objectives with this.

Today I happened across an interesting piece from paidcontent.org.. This regarding the sale of said publication. What to do with BusinessWeek? Interesting that most of the things they mention are what has been in the works for a while. Not that I'm saying this is inaccurate. Actually I think it's right on. Interesting, I have to wonder if the concept of paid content is resurgent?

Wither Paid Content?

Yes I mean what is going on with advertising? In case you haven't noticed, or cared, the advertising marketplace is in a tailspin. Today, the McGH Cos announced it is pursuing 'Strategic Options' for BusinessWeek. Full disclosure, I work there. Actually they were probably out-twitted; 'outed' via twitter.

Nothing like some skin in the game to inspire a blog post.

Not to fear, I am a resourceful person. I think in this move lies an opportunity to work with our readers on a solution. Yes, this is the brand that routinely asks it readers for story ideas. Well, it seems here is an opportunity like no other. How is that for demonstrating brand loyalty? That is my twitterverse solution. Check out @danielschiller for further twitts.

Also, I thought I might share this lovely photograph of samosas gifted by a neighbor. Aren't they perfectly formed?

Queers on Parade

i am a little tardy in making this entry, however I need to address Pride weekend. Admittedly, I classify myself amongst the post-gay. At this point, being a 'mo is really a non-issue. I am sure to rile the HRC with this one, but if someone doesn't want to hire me, live near me, trim my hair etc then good riddance. I really an industrious, tidy and a good tipper so their loss.

Ostensibly that negates the need for Pride. I'm here, I'm queer and I'm used to it. Oh, guess again. It is good to get out enjoy the sun, the vodka, the friends and the tide of humanity.

From Pride 2009

There is no better time to enjoy one's friends too. The possibilities are endless, and there is something that occurs when we consume minimal amounts of vodka in the sun. There is some sort of photolytic process that causes one to loose one's faculties. Friends sometimes get carried away, as did RG and SG.

That is not to say that the connections made are not worthy. I speak from experience on this one people, or all two of you who happen to have found your way to my blog. And what of those 'connections' you ask. Yes, what of them? I have learned from experience readers not to over analyze things. You'd be best to roll with it and learn to enjoy. That is really the theme of Pride, enjoy it and whatever you do don't think too much.

At the end of the afternoon that is not to say that all the celebrating and connections made do not become overwhelming. They do:

And that will do too. Time to head for home and re-hydrate Queers.
